Dschauf is a province in northern Saudi Arabia, close to that country??s border with Jordan. Each circular patch is an irrigated field with a diameter of around 1000 m. Their shape is due to the rotary sprinkler arms used for watering. Irrigation makes it possible to cultivate wheat and other cereal crops.
